The 1st and 2nd Ankaka Wish List Video Contests were very successful. So here comes our third one.

Anyone who have participated in the 1st or the 2nd Ankaka Wish List Video Contests are NOT eligible for this 3rd Ankaka Wish List Video Contest.
All you need to do is the following.
- Surf the Ankaka website and check out all the cool gadgets.
- Think REALLY hard about which item you would LOVE to find under the Christmas tree this year. I know it will be hard to pick just one, but give it a try!
- Forget about a letter to Santa, Make a video instead and choose one of our very simple Upload Methods to get the video to our attention! See Video Upload Details below.
- Tell us in a 1-2 minute video why you want/need this gadget, device or toy, in an innovative and creative way! Need a new MP3 player to motivate that lazy husband? A spycam to keep an eye on the kids? Maybe a GPS for that friend of yours who ALWAYS gets lost? Let us know!!
- Anything goes in your video! You can sing, dance, cry, scream, beg or plead, we don’t mind, but as this is a family friendly contest, please keep it clean. It can be a group effort or an individual piece of art, but please keep in mind; the prizes are one per entry.
- Each individual or group entrant is allowed to enter 1 videos Maximum..
- Is your Wish List a consumer electronics device you saw somewhere else, no problem, see Prize Details below.
Prize Breakdown
- First Prize $300 Store Credit with which to buy your Wish List item! You asked for it, and we are going to send it to you! Is your favorite item more or less than $300, no problem, details provided below in Prize Details!
- Second prize “ Almost as good as the first, a $100 US store credit!
- Third Prize “ Also really great! A full $50 US store credit!
- Everyone else who takes the time to create and upload a video will receive a $20 store credit just for mentioning Ankaka.com in your video! And yes, that is for EACH video! (maximum of 1 per entrant)
Prize Details
Perhaps your wish list item is only $50, but you won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prize; what happens to the rest of the store credit?
- No problem, you will receive the full amount of the prize to be used against ANY purchase on the Ankaka website. So for example, the 1st prize winner may purchase their wish list 8Gb MP4 watch for the regular price of $50 and still have $250 left for buying anything else they want! This goes for all prize amounts! So if your wish list item is not the full value of the prize you won, you can buy MORE items! How great is that?
What about if the 3rd prize winner wants a wish list item that is $90?
- Once again no problem! Use your store credit of $50 and simply pay the remainder yourself, being only $40! Therefore you are getting a $90 item for just $40!!! This also applies to all other winners and participants! So as you can see, EVERYBODY WINS!!!
How about if I really want a nifty piece of consumer electronics I saw on a different website? Can Ankaka help me with that AND apply my prize?

Video Upload Details
Video can be created and uploaded in many different ways. We will provide you with some options:
Video Creation: With the growing popularity of video and social networking it seems everyone is making videos these days, about just about everything. We will try to address some of the more common questions here.
Do I need an expensive movie or DV Cam to make a movie for your contest?
- Absolutely not! Most digital cameras and webcams are capable of recording very nice quality videos very easily and often come with movie making software as part of the original packaging
Do I need to use professional, complicated and expensive video editing software to make a video?
- Not at all! As mentioned above, most cameras will come with a software suite of programs which should be able to make movies. Another popular choice is Windows Movie Maker which is free within Windows (might need to download the latest version free from Microsoft for Windows 7 users). Use whatever program you feel most comfortable with.
Do I have to have a YouTube account in order to enter your contest?
- No, you are welcome to upload your video anywhere on the internet (blogs, personal home pages, other video sites, etc) and simply send us an email with the link to your video. We will take it from there.
How do I add a video on YouTube?
- For any YouTube option you will require an account, but don’t worry, they are FREE and easy to setup. There are a couple different options when uploading your video to us via YouTube. You can upload the video to your own YouTube:
- You can upload the video to your own YouTube account and then post it as a Video Response to our contest announcement video . To get more information about who to add a Video Response try a search on YouTube like this: How to add a video response. This should give you excellent video instructions on how to get you do a video response.
- You can use the Video Response feature as above, but instead of adding a video you have already uploaded to your personal YouTube account you can upload directly to our account or create your video live with your webcam. These features are all made available after clicking the Comments > Add Video Response button on www.youtube.com/ankakaCOM.
- You can upload your video anywhere on the internet and leave us a message with a link in the comments on the contest announcement video or simply send us an email at marketing@ankaka.com with the link to your video (or the page it is uploaded too). From that point we will be happy to help you put your video on our site. The email you send us the link on will be used as your official contest entry email.
How do I add videos to other websites?
- You may upload it to any one of the hundreds of video sharing websites, social networking sites like MySpace.com and Facebook.com or you can choose to post it to your own personal website. As there are too many possibilities to go into detail for every site we suggest you check the documentation for the website you wish to use. Once posted to the internet, simply send us a link via Email or a comment on the contest announcement video and we will take care of the rest.
Submission Deadline
Ankaka’s Wish List contest will begin accepting entries from now to 2011-7-31.
Each entrant may submit up to 1 videos and videos with multiple collaborators will be treated as a single entry (not 1 prize for each person in your group). So a video with 20 people will divide the winnings between themselves, not claim 20 prizes.
All video should be clear and concise. It is your responsibility to either upload a video to our YouTube channel or contact us via email or comments to let us know where your video is.
This contest is not open to Ankaka Staff and Family.
